We have recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for a new electric vehicle. This vehicle will be used for the mobile food hub (Hope on the Go) that currently makes weekly visits to 6 villages in South Cambridgeshire (Duxford, Fulbourn, Linton, Orchard Park, Papworth and Willingham) and shortly starting in Fowlmere too. The van will be larger in size and will properly facilitate the mobile food hub with items displayed just like it is in the community shop (Cambourne). Service users will be able to shop as they would normally, rather than from crates which is a much more dignified way for people to shop for their essential items.
We have secured funding from South Cambridgeshire District Council for £15,000 and are fundraising for a further £20,000.
